Our roundtable format has its roots in high school. Large oval wooden tables were the stage where my journey into critical thinking began. With the teacher at the head of the table, and we as students armed with engaging subject matter, we were front-and-center and fully engaged in the ongoing dialogue and expansion of our minds. As a format, this simple yet effective model seemed perfect and relevant for engaging with wealth finserv professionals. So, in 2009, we rolled out our first roundtable, and for the last nine years have built on the concept.
An additional caveat is the pit, which serves as the gathering for continuing evening discussions. For centuries, gathering around a fire has been central to growing community and sharing ideas. The combination of our roundtable format and the evening fire pit offer our attendees the unique experience of rich learning, abundant networking opportunities, and the ability to better understand what is next in the changing world of wealth finserv.
